About the Event
Marley was coached in handbalancing by Sascha Bachman, a Cirque du Soleil artist and one of the world’s top handstand coaches. The class will develop the foundational elements of handbalancing to create stability, balance and strong lines. The technique focuses bonestacking, proper engagement, and spatial awareness while upside down. The class will include strength and flexibility conditioning, headstands, forearm stands, and croc balances. Once students develop stability, more challenging aspects will be added. Open to all levels. Different exercises will be assigned depending on each students level of progress.
Bring water, face mask and comfortable clothes. Yoga mats and other props provided.

About the teacher
Marley Skye is a freelance Canadian circus artist who has worked for many circus companies in Canada and internationally including Cirque du Soleil Events, Circus West, Underground Circus, Vancouver Circus School, NZR Circus, Chameleon Entertainment, Circus 3. Marley specializes in hand to hand, duo acro dance, aerial silks, and handbalancing.
Marley also founded Sweet & Salty Burlesque, a neo-burlesque and circus troupe. He was a partner in Phoenix Circus, where he produced, directed and managed cabarets, circus retreats, and circus and music festivals.
Marley is currently vice-president of Circus3 a Vancouver Canada based non-profit circus company that produces local circus shows and presents international circus shows in collaboration with the City of Vancouver and the Government of Canada.
